Hello! My name is Emily Walton and I am proud to be a part of the class of 2022! I am majoring in Biology and Society while minoring in Africana Studies and Spanish. This year, I have the honor of serving as Wari's president and I am so excited to continue to connect with and serve our community! Outside of Wari, I am an English tutor for local farmworkers and I am the historian for the Pan-African Student Association. When I am not doing school/club related activities, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and watching re-runs of Living Single (one of the best shows ever). After graduation, I plan on doing a little traveling and preparing for the next frontier: medical school and life as a legit adult.

Hi everyone! My name is Destiny and I am a senior in the College of Arts and Science studying Information Science and Computer Science. I have been a member of Wari for just over a year and have also served as house secretary. I am also heavily involved in Building Ourselves through Sisterhood and Service (B.O.S.S.), which is a peer mentorship and community service organization on campus and I am a proud Boys & Girls Club alumna. In my free time I like to watch natural hair videos on YouTube and watch The Office. I aspire to be a technology consultant or data scientist.

Hey beautiful people! My name is Syd and Im class of 2023 in A&S majoring in Psychology! Im currently Wari’s Treasurer, but Im also the BSU External Relations Chair and the VP of Queer Magazine. After graduation, I hope to continue administrative work with Leda Health’s non-profit and tackle med school. Fun fact: Ive dyed my hair 5 different colors in one month!

Hi! My name is Annabelle Poisson and I am a senior in the animal science major. Previously I've been Alumni Liaison and ICU Representative for Wari, and am currently house manager. Outside of Wari I'm the president of the Cornell Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society and play with the steel pan ensemble on campus. After graduation I'd like to work in wildlife conservation and I hope to make a lasting impact!

Hello! I'm Mara Kebret, a senior in CALS majoring in Nutritional Sciences and Biology & Society and minoring in Global Health and Environment & Sustainability Sciences. In the past I have served as the community service chair and treasurer, and am eager to begin my new position as a fundraising committee member. Outside of Wari, I'm involved in the Ethiopian Eritrean Students Association, the Pre-Medical Minority Mentorship Program, B.S.U., and B.O.S.S.! In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis and volleyball, cooking, and reading. After graduation, I hope to attend medical school, obtain my MD/MPH, and address disparities in health affecting people of color, particularly cancer incidence as a result of environmental racism.

Hi, my name is Jennifer. I am a sophomore in the College of Arts & Sciences planning to major in Biology & Society. I am on the pre-med track and I am a proud Posse Scholar. On campus I am also a member of Les Femmes de Substance. Outside of school, I run a non-profit organization with my sister named Beauty & Brains.

My name is Lotoya Francis. I am a junior in ILR. I am Founder and Chair of CU in Color and Co-president of the Black Womxn's Support Network. I'm super passionate about making the world better for Black womxn and using the media as a platform to do so. My ultimate career goal is to adopt several aspects of Oprah's career and become "Lotoya."

Hi! My name’s Aaliyah Brown. I’m a sophomore at Cornell planning to double major in Anthropology and Government with aspirations to go to law school after college. Outside of Wari, I’m involved in Black Ivy Pre-Law Society, Les Femmes de Substance, and am a Posse Scholar. I also really can’t really sing, but I love karaoke :)

My name is Aaliyah Daniels and I am a senior Africana Studies major. I have previously been the Co-Fundraising Chair for Wari House. If I'm not binging my favorite Netflix series or playing with my nieces and nephews, you can find me reading books on spirituality, holistic healing, metaphysics, and the Divine Feminine. After I graduate, I hope to become certified in the Holistic Wellness field, continue the work of decolonizing the mind + body + spirit, and assist my community with reconnecting to our true source of power.

My name is Sarah Paul and I am a senior majoring in Chemistry & Chemical Biology. My previous House positions include Treasurer & Vice President. I previously was involved in Cornell Women's Rugby Club, African Dance Repertoire and I was a PSP Chemistry Course Assistant for several summers. I love to weight lift for fun and I watch some anime in my free time. I plan to go to medical school after possibly getting a Masters in Chemistry.
